Upper Iowa University Athletics Hall of Fame

10905

The idea for an athletics hall of fame was proposed in 1978, but it was not acted upon until 1980 under the Darcy C. Coyle administration when the first class was inducted. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of Upper Iowa University athletes, coaches and officials. Bill "Pro" Prochaska remain on the Hall of Fame committee today as one of the original charter members. The Hall of Fame members are all displayed in Dorman Gymnasium’s lobby; the plaques include their picture, name, year of induction, and category for induction etched in black marble. After the 2022 honorees were officially inducted, our Hall of Fame now has 210 members,
