Craig Campbell received a B.S degree in 1971 from Upper Iowa. In 1976 he received an M.A. degree in physical education from the University of Northern Iowa.
Campbell is the only four time A;;-American wrestler from Upper Iowa and was the National Champion in 1970, along with placing fifth in 1968, sixth in 1969, and third in 1971. He was the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Champion four times, with an overall record of 120-20. While at Upper Iowa, he was also active in the Letterman's Club and the Big Blue Dance Band.
Since graduation, Campbell has been teaching P.E. and matematics in Rochester, Minnesota. He coached wrestling at the Mayo High School, and is presently teaching at the John Marshall High School. He also officiates wrestling and girls' volleyball in Minnesota.
