Upper Iowa University Athletics

Wendell Baskerville graduated from Upper Iowa University in 1913. While at UIU, Mr. Baskerville states, “I did not receive the wool sweater with the UIU emblem on it, as you had to play all of every game for two years. I played the two years, but I had to be taken out during the last quarter of the last game the last year because of an injury.”

Baskerville did post graduate work at Iowa State. He is a past teacher, principle, and superintendent of Iowa high schools. He was an area farmer and was active in community affairs in the city of Monona, Iowa, where he is now retired.
