Clint Rodgers is being inducted into the Upper Iowa University Athletics Hall of Fame as an athlete. He graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in physical education. Rodgers earned a Master’s degree in secondary education from Chadron State College in 1998.
A four-year letter winner in football, Rodgers started 39 of 40 games as a linebacker and guard for the Peacocks playing for Head Coach Paul Rudolph. He was named to the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, or IIAC, Second Team in 1994 as a defensive end and in 1995 as a linebacker. Rodgers earned a pair of All-America second team honors in 1994 and 1995 while leading the Peacocks in sacks and tackles during those two seasons.
A native of West Union, he had an outstanding interscholastic career at North Fayette High School in football earning all-conference honors. Rodgers has been a teacher and coach in the Turkey Valley School District since 1999 and has served as the offensive line and linebackers coach at North Fayette Valley High School since 2008. Rodgers currently resides in West Union, Iowa with his wife Amanda, a 1997 graduate of UIU, and their sons Gunner, Kale and Cain.
