Frank Nevelle

Frank Nevelle, class of 1968, was a two-way starter and letter winner for four years on the UIU football team, an IIAC first team selection for two years, an NAIA first team selection and Little All-American, and was a member of the 1964 IIAC championship team. Once a captain of the football team, Nevelle was the first Upper Iowa player selected to play in the Iowa Senior All-Star football game.

Following graduation from Upper Iowa, Nevelle became a Naval Aviator and flight instructor following graduation and played football for the Pensacola Goshawks. He was awarded the Gold Wings of a Navy Aviator and earned the rank of lieutenant.

He later earned a master’s degree in management information systems from West Coast University and currently serves as manager of customer training at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company in Marietta, Georgia.

He and his wife, Rosemary, a 1967 Upper Iowa graduate, and their two sons, James and Andrew, live in Kennesaw, Ga.
