Upper Iowa University Athletics Hall of Fame
Cole Jaeschke is being inducted into the Upper Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame as an athlete. Jaeschke graduated from Upper Iowa in 2014 with a degree in exercise and sports studies with a sports administration emphasis. The Moorland, Iowa native served as the Peacock starting quarterback for four seasons from 2011-14, leaving as one of the most decorated passers in program and conference history.
A three-time All-NSIC performer, Jaeschke capped his career with a record-breaking senior season in which he threw for a program-best 3,350 yards, ranking eighth nationally and first in the NSIC. That year he completed 307 passes at a 60.2% clip with 23 touchdowns, while averaging 304.5 passing yards per game. He added two rushing touchdowns, leading one of the most potent offenses in the league.
Over his four seasons, Jaeschke started every game and rewrote the Peacock record books. He holds program records for career passing yards (11,714), career total offense (12,174), and career passing touchdowns (85). His 631-yard passing performance at Sioux Falls in 2012 remains one of the most remarkable single-game efforts in NCAA Division II history. Within the Northern Sun Conference, Jaeschke still ranks third all-time in career passing yards (11,581) and second in career total offense (12,031).
Since graduation, Jaeschke has built a successful career as the Founder and Co-CEO of FullSwing Financial Planning, a financial planning and investment management firm. He also gives back to his community as a board member for both the Fort Dodge Community School Foundation and the Unity Point Fort Dodge Foundation. Jaeschke stays close to the game as a youth football and baseball coach for his sons’ teams. He and his wife, Chelsie, are the proud parents of two boys, Cael and Canton.
