FAYETTE, Iowa - UIU women's track and field has its last meet before the GLVC Indoor Championships at the Liz Wuertz Invite, hosted by Wartburg in Waverly. Action starts on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. with field events, while running events begin at 10:30 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
UIU took third at the Luther Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7. Aaliyah Comadore and Haylie Hutchinson both broke school records at the meet. Hutchinson posted four first-place finishes as well.
Comadore posted a long jump of 5.30m (17' 4.75"), breaking Chelsea Berry's jump of 5.26m (17' 3.25") in 2017. Hutchinson broke the school record, meet record and venue record in the 300m with a time of 43.37 seconds. The junior broke Kristin Culp's time of 43.70 seconds in 2018 on the Upper Iowa records.
Hutchinson also took first in the 60m hurdles and triple jump, and was on the 4x400m team that took first place. Jasheana Tracey added a first-place finish for UIU in the 400m. Tracey, Hutchinson, Eryn Sabelka and Carolina Regalado were on the first-place 4x400m team.
Sabelka took third place in the 300m, while Katie Kraft finished fifth in the 1000m and 2000m steeplechase. Gracee Tompkins finished fourth in the shot put, and Maya White Eagle came in seventh. Freshman Naiya Pickett took eighth in the long jump.
The Peacocks totaled 92 points at the invitational, two points behind Luther in second. Hamline (Minn.) won the meet with 165 points.
MEET INFORMATION
The field events start at 10 a.m. with the long jump and triple jump, followed by the throwing events at 10:30 a.m., then the pole vault and high jump at 1:30 p.m. Running events start at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 5000m, ending the day with the 4x400m relay.

2025 LIZ WUERTZ INVITE
At last season's Liz Wuertz Invite, Hutchinson was the top placer for UIU with a second-place finish in the triple jump. She also added a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles.
Myah Brinker took third in the weight throw and sixth in the shot put. Regalado placed fourth in the 60m. The 4x400m relay team finished fifth. Team scores were not kept.
