The Peacocks and Beavers of Minot State University did their best to get their double header in today, but rain and the resulting unplayable conditions along with more rain on the way have forced the cancellation of both games.

The two cancelled games today bring UIU's total to 14 missed contests including a dozen NSIC games due to weather this season.

Upper Iowa was leading 2-1 in the top of the second when a strong surge of rain fell forcing both teams off the field and gave the umpires time to check the radar.  At that point, both head coaches and the umpires met and the games for today were cancelled.

The Peacocks (10-11, 2-2 NSIC) will now wait to get back on the field until Wednesday in Sioux Falls, S.D. against the Vikings of Augustana College.
