Apparently Mother Nature doesn't want the Peacock softball and baseball teams to resume their seasons just quite yet.
The Upper Iowa softball team has had to postpone their double header versus Winona State that was scheduled for today in Winona, Minn. due to temperatures and field conditions. The games with the Warriors can be made up as late as Thursday of this week, per NSIC rules, but that will depend on when, where and if this weekend's, Mar. 29-30, scheduled home games against St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth can be played.
The Peacock baseball team, who has not played since leaving Clearwater, Fla., is coming off a four-game cancellation this past weekend. UIU had to cancel their series with U-Mary due to temperature and field conditions and have now had to cancel their non-conference double dip with Lewis set for Wednesday, Mar. 27. The team is now looking to Friday and Saturday, Mar. 29-30, as their home openers when they welcome St. Cloud State to Robertson Woods Field for a four-game series.
