FAYETTE, Iowa - The Upper Iowa women's soccer team (2-6-2, 0-5-1 GLVC) heads south to play against Southwest Baptist (Mo.) (3-7-1, 1-5-1 GLVC) and Drury (Mo.) (5-2-2, 4-1-2 GLVC). Kickoff against the Bearcats in Bolivar, Missouri, is set for 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10. The Peacocks then travel to Springfield, Missouri, on Sunday for a noon matchup vs. the Panthers.

LAST TIME OUT
Upper Iowa fell to William Jewell (Mo.) and Rockhurst (Mo.) this past weekend at home. The Peacocks' lone goal was against the Cardinals by Giovanna Alexa Garcia with an assist from Melanie Mejia.
Avery Harding got her first action of the season at goalie against Rockhurst. She totaled 10 saves in Sunday's contest.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Alexa Garcia's goal brought her total up to two this season, tying for the team lead with Haylee Allen and Rhea Buchanan. Haylie Hutchinson is the team leader in points with one goal and three assists. The junior is tied for seventh in the GLVC in assists. She also leads the team in shots with 15 and shots on goal with 12.
Sienna Johnson has started all 10 games at goalkeeper for the Peacocks. She has a 71.2% save percentage with 47 total saves and three shutouts. She's eighth in the GLVC in save percentage and second in the conference in total saves.
AROUND THE GLVC
McKendree (Ill.) (6-0-4, 6-0-1 GLVC) is the conference leader on a six-game winning streak with 19 points. Quincy (Ill.) (6-1-2, 5-0-1 GLVC) is one game behind with 16 points. Maryville (Mo.) (6-0-4, 4-0-3 GLVC) and Missouri-St. Louis (5-2-2, 4-0-2 GLVC) are also unbeaten in conference play. Maryville has 15 points and UMSL has 14 points.
Maryville is the lone ranked team in the GLVC, coming in at No. 19. GLVC-leading McKendree will be tested this weekend against Missouri-St. Louis on Friday and Maryville on Sunday.
ABOUT THE BEARCATS - Friday at 4 p.m.
Southwest Baptist enters Friday's game after a pair of 2-1 road losses to UIndy and Lewis (Ill.). The Bearcats picked up their first conference win on Sept. 28 in a 1-0 victory over Illinois Springfield.
Senior Tamerra Gantt leads the team with seven goals on 24 shots and one assist. She's had 13 shots on goal and is third in the GLVC in goals scored. Freshmen Addi Shuler and Lydia Fickle have each added two goals, and Shuler also has an assist.
Sophomore goalkeeper Cece Alexander has a 77% save percentage and 67 saves. She leads the conference in total saves and has the sixth-best save percentage. Alexander ranks sixth nationally in total saves.
Head coach Andrew Percic is in his second season at the helm of the women's soccer team. He has a 5-19-4 record entering this weekend with the Bearcats.
ABOUT THE PANTHERS - Sunday at noon
Drury enters this weekend tied for fourth with UMSL in the GLVC standings with 14 points. The Panthers have one loss in conference play, 2-0 to McKendree. Drury defeated Illinois Springfield, 3-1, and UIndy, 3-0, this past weekend.
Keira Love is the top scorer for the Panthers with three goals and four assists (nine points). The sophomore is tied for third in assists in the GLVC. Senior Elena Perez has scored the most goals on the team with four. Holland Hawkins and Leah McDonald have both scored two goals.
Junior goalkeeper Katy Fitzler has played every minute this season for the Panthers. She has an 84.3% save percentage with 43 saves and four shutouts. Fitzler has the third-best save percentage in the conference.
Justin Olson is in his sixth season as the head coach of Drury. He is 60-23-21 entering this weekend with the Panthers.
