Box Score Upper Iowa began their weekend of action against Augustana University at the Winona Tennis Center as they suffered a 4-0 loss. The Peacocks dropped to 0-7 on the season and the Vikings improved to 14-2 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

UIU started off the day by dropping two matches in the doubles contest. The No. 1 doubles team of Johanne Vallee and Rafaela Tavares fell to Florentia Hadjigeorgiou and Aleksandra Kistanova 6-0. Varvara Ogorodnikova and Katie O'Brian were defeated in the No. 2 doubles by Laura Arce Vieyra and Gabriela Jancikova in a 6-0 decision.

Four individuals competed for Upper Iowa in the singles matches. Ogorodnikova put up a tough fight in the No. 1 singles against Senem Ocal. She took the first set 6-2, fell in the next set 6-1 and dropped in the third 5-0. The duel was deemed unfinished. Tavares competed in the No. 2 slot and was defeated by her opponent 6-0, 6-2. Vallee fell in the No. 3 singles to Emile Granson 6-1, 6-1. The day was rounded out as O'Brian competed at No. 4, and was trumped 6-0, 6-0.

The Peacocks take on Sioux Falls in Winona, Minn. to finish out their weekend of play. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
