Upper Iowa traveled to Moorhead, Minn. to take on the Dragons of Minnesota State Moorhead and fell in a 6-1 decision. They picked up one win in the singles matches, but were unable to come out on top in the rest of their duels. The Peacocks dropped to 0-11 on the season while the Dragons improved to 8-9.
 
The Dragons swept the Peacocks in the doubles competition, picking up all three matches. The duo of Johanne Vallee and Rafaela Tavares were defeated 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles. The team of Varvara Ogorodnikova and Elaina Wall were trumped 6-2 in the No. 2 slot. MSU Moorhead grabbed the third match due to Upper Iowa forfeit. 
 
The Peacocks put up a tough fight in a majority of the singles competitions, but Tavares picked up the only win for the team. She defeated Tia Dykema in a tiebreaker match 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 in the No. 3 singles. Ogorodnikova fell to Shaelyn Johnson in the No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-4. In the No. 2 spot, Johanne Vallee was trumped in a tiebreaker match by Tiannah Gu in a 6-3, 3-6, 10-3 decision. In No. 4 singles, Wall was defeated by her opponent Marissa Burian 6-2, 6-2. Katie O'Brian competed in the No. 5 slot and was defeated by Claire Nemmers 6-1, 6-0. The Dragons picked up the No. 6 match due to forfeit. 
 
The Peacocks are back on the courts tomorrow for their last match of the 2023 season against the University of Mary. The action is scheduled for 9 a.m. in Moorhead, Minn.
