Maya Chesky was named as a 2022 Women's Lacrosse All-GLIAC Honorable Mention performer on Friday evening. The sophomore from Bloomington, Minn. becomes the first Peacock all-conference selection for the women's lacrosse program.

Chesky scored 22 goals and handed out two assists in 11 games this season. She placed 36 of her 53 shots on goal and converted nearly two-thirds of her on target attempts. The UIU midfielder led the team in goals, points (26), draw controls (38), ground balls (26) and caused turnovers (9).

In addition to scoring three or more goals in a match four times, Chesky found the back of the net in nine of the team's 11 games. Her high goal tally came in the team's final home match against Quincy University, where she scored six times.

Chesky's 22 goals rank 17th among all field players in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while her 24 points rank 23rd. Both her totals in draw controls and ground balls rank 10th in the GLIAC.

The Peacocks (0-11, 0-8 GLIAC) wrapped up their first full season of competition on Apr. 22 at Concordia University, St. Paul.
