Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Upper Iowa's women's tennis team scored a split this past weekend in Grand Forks, N.D. The Peacocks lost a 6-1 decision to the Beavers of Bemidji State University before grabbing a 7-0 victory over the University of Minnesota Crookston.  The split pushed UIU's record to 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the Northern Sun Conference. 

Against Bemidji State, Deimante Krivickaite was the lone Peacock to score a point with a singles victory at No. 1. The sophomore registered a 7-5, 6-1 win. Varvara Ogorodnikova nearly got another point at No. 2 singles, but dropped the tiebreaker. The Beavers controlled the action in the other four singles matches. BSU claimed the doubles punt with three wins, but Alejandra Abella and Elaina Wall almost won the No. 3 match, but dropped a 7-5 decision. 

Against Minnesota Crookston, the Peacocks claimed all six singles and all the doubles matches. UIU surrendered only six of the 78 games played during the dual across seven bouts. UMC forfeited the No.3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

Upper Iowa will step out of the NSIC for their next dual. The Peacocks will travel to Hammond, Ind. to battle the University of Purdue-Northwest on Mar. 15.
