THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S SOCCER… Upper Iowa (3-11-2, 2-9-2 NSIC) is set to finish out the 2018 season with NSIC matchups against the University of Sioux Falls Cougars (4-10-2, 3-8-2 NSIC) and the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs (3-12-0, 3-10-0 NSIC). UIU hits the road to face the Cougars in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Friday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. and will return back to Pattison Field to host the Mustangs on Sunday at noon. The Peacocks will recognize the 2018 seniors prior to kickoff on Sunday at 11:40 a.m. The game against the Mustangs can be aired live on KCRG-TV 9.2 and can be streamed through the Stretch Internet app on Roku and Amazon Fire devices, as well as Apple and Android televisions.
SENIOR SENDOFF… Upper Iowa will say goodbye to seven seniors on Sunday and the program will honor those seven at 11:40 a.m.

Mayte Van Hees have put in many hours over the last four years, and together as a group have compiled 23 wins for the program, including 20 conference victories and one trip to the NSIC Tournament.
A GLANCE BACK… The Peacock offense wasn't able to find their groove in North Dakota as they fell to Minot State University (3-0) and University of Mary (2-0) last weekend.
Katie Samuels led the team in shots with three while
Jessica Kron and
Maida Alijagic each added a pair.
Natalie Rudrud posted 11 saves and the duo of
Aimee Sies and Hall played all 180 minutes on defense.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS…
vs. UNIVERSITY OF SIOUX FALLS… The Cougars (4-10-2, 3-8-2 NSIC) have lost four of their last six contests including both of last weekend's games against St. Cloud State University (2-0) and University of Minnesota Duluth (1-0) to sit 12
th in the NSIC. USF has conference wins over Minnesota State University Moorhead (2-1), Northern State University (2-1) and University of Minnesota Crookston (1-0). Lindsey Power leads the team with three goals and three assists for nine points. Other key players include Aundria Vargas (2 goals, 31 shots), McKayla Philippi (2 goals, 2 assists), and Lauren LaFavre (1 assist, 37 shots). Brayden Paul has played all 16 games in net, recorded 106 saves and owns a 1.52 goals against average.
THE SERIES… The Peacocks have yet to be defeated by the Cougars as they carry a perfect 7-0-0 record into the game against USF on Friday. UIU has outscored USF 28-2 in the all-time series with the biggest win coming in 2012 with a 10-0 blowout. Five of the contests have been shutouts including a 1-0 victory in 2017 when UIU scored in the just the 2
nd minute and played stellar defense the rest of the way to secure the win.
vs. SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY… The Mustangs (3-12-0, 3-10-0 NSIC) return back to Pattison Field after starting the 2018 season in Fayette as one of four teams in the Peacock Classic. SMSU has fallen in nine of its last ten contests with the lone win coming over Minnesota Crookston (4-1) on Sep. 28. Opponents have outscored the Mustangs 39-16 thus far and eight of SMSU's losses have been decided by two or more goals. Alli Miskowiec (6) and Abbey Hoisington (5) have combined to score 11 of the Mustang's scores and take nearly half of SMSU's total shots. Jessica Craigmile and Jenna Meyer have split time between the posts and have combined for 103 saves and a 2.58 goals against average.
THE SERIES… The Peacocks lead the all-time series 9-3-2 and have won four of the last six matchups including a postseason victory in 2013. UIU has outscored the Mustangs 22-10 in the stretch and edges SMSU with 6-3 total shutouts. Ostrowski scored the game winner against SMSU in 2017.
