Upper Iowa took on the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney in Waverly, Iowa on Saturday. The dual marked the first for UIU this fall season, but the fourth for the Lopers. UNK improved to 4-0 this fall with a 9-0 win over the Peacocks.
Nebraska-Kearney took all three doubles points thanks to a pair of 8-0 wins over the teams of
Anna Okolot/Shakhnaza Zhanatova and
Lara Peco/Lavanya Singh and a forfeit in the third doubles match. Okolot was the only Peacock to win a set in singles play; the senior lost her #2 singles match to Yuxiu Sun 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6). Full results can be found below.
The Peacocks will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule beginning on Sept. 29 at the ITA Regionals in Springfield, Mo.
