THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S SOCCER... The Upper Iowa women's soccer team will look to build a winning streak this weekend as they travel up to northern Minnesota for a pair of Northern Sun Conference matchups. The Peacocks will battle the Bulldogs of the University of Minnesota Duluth on Friday night before taking on the Huskies of St. Cloud State University on Sunday afternoon. UIU will look to continue their winning streak against the Bulldogs after wins the previous two seasons; Upper Iowa is 3-5 all-time against UMD. St. Cloud State bit Upper Iowa last year in St. Cloud, snapping a three-game winning streak in the series for UIU. The Peacocks lead the all-time series with SCSU 3-2-4.

PEACOCKS SPLIT LAST WEEK... Upper Iowa earned a split against Augustana and Wayne State last weekend. The Peacocks were shutout, 3-0, by the Augustana Vikings last Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D. UIU answered with a hard-fought, 2-1 victory at home against the Wildcats last Sunday. After trailing WSC 1-0 10 minutes in, the Peacocks answered with a goal from
Christiana Atteberry in the 35th minute to tie the match. After halftime, an unlikely corner-turned-goal from
Brittany Beckman broke the tie in the 55th minute, and the home team would prevail. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for UIU, and they will look to build off that momentum this weekend.
