The Peacock women's tennis team (9-8, 8-1 NSIC) suffered their first loss in the Northern Sun last Sunday against Augustana University, but the team will look to bounce back this weekend as they close out their regular season schedule. Upper Iowa will host a pair of NSIC duals against the Marauders of the University of Mary on Saturday at 9 a.m. and the Dragons of Minnesota State University Moorhead on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
Two wins would guarantee the Peacocks a second place finish in the conference, match last year's conference record of 10-1 and hand UIU the second seed heading into the NSIC Championships on Apr. 23-24 in Minnetonka, Minn. at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale.
Upper Iowa closed out the 2015 campaign at MSU Moorhead on the final weekend of their conference schedule. The Peacocks defeated U-Mary 8-1 and MSU Moorhead 6-3 to clinch second place in the conference.
