The Peacock tennis team stayed perfect in Northern Sun Conference and picked up the weekend sweep with a 7-2 victory over the St. Cloud State Huskies in Winona, Minn. With the win, UIU moved to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the NSIC, while SCSU fell to 4-4 on the year and 4-2 in conerence play. 
 
UIU swept the doubles competition, with the biggest win coming in the match at  No. 2 where Isabella Sella and Jemina Linn Sorman earned an 8-2 victory. Saki Kawabata and Kelly Jachymowski recorded a 8-4 win at No. 1, while Yulia Prokopyshyn and Anna Okolot had the closest doubles match at No. 3 with an 8-5 victory. 
 
In singles, the Peacocks took four of the six matches. Both Kawabata and Sella brought home 6-1, 6-3 victories at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Sorman battled back to win at No. 3 singles after she dropped the first set, 2-6, to take set two 6-2 and the tiebreaker 10-7. Okolot had the final UIU win at singles at No. 5, squeaking out a 7-5 set one win, followed by a 6-1 win in set two.
 
Upper Iowa will take spring break trip to Oklahoma to play five matches in six days. The Peacocks open the trip with a match against Seminole State College in Ada, Okla. on Monday, Mar. 7 at 1 p.m.
