WEBCAST: Winona State THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S SOCCERThe Upper Iowa women's soccer team (1-1-1) will begin the conference season on Monday against No. 20 Winona State. The Peacocks are 2-7 all-time against the Warriors, falling last season in the lone matchup of the two teams, 2-0. UIU, however, did pick up a win the last time these two teams met in Fayette, defeating WSU 1-0 in 2013.
Upper Iowa continues conference play against Augustana and Wayne State over the weekend at home.

goals punctuated the Upper Iowa women's soccer team played their most complete game of the season in a 2-1 victory over Fort Hays State on Saturday at Pattison Field. It was the first win of the season for UIU and improved the Peacocks record to 1-1-1, while Fort Hays fell to 1-3.

1 FIRST VICTORY: The Peacocks picked up their first win of the year over the weekend, beating Fort Hays State 2-1. Head Coach
Brian Diaz called it the Peacocks most complete game of the season, earning UIU their first out-of-conference, central region win since defeating No. 23 Central Oklahoma on Sept. 9, 2013.
2 MADIE'S MAGIC: Senior
Madie Edwards has picked up where she left off last season, when she earned First Team All-Central Region and All-NSIC First Team honors, scoring three goals in the first three games of the 2015 season. Edwards now has 25 career goals, which is tied for fourth in program history, and 61 career points, which is good enough for sixth all-time at UIU.
3 NSIC PLAY: Over the last seasons, the Peacocks have been among the conference's best when it came to league-play. Upper Iowa has won double-digits games in each of the last three conference seasons, amassing a 33-9-3 mark overall. During that span, the Peacocks have finished top three in the conference each year and have made an appearance in the NSIC/US Bank Tournament semi-finals three times.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTvs. WINONA STATE: The Warriors are 3-0 and ranked No. 20 in the national coaches poll. Winona State has won all three games by one goal, defeating Michigan Tech 3-2. Northern Michigan, 2-1, and Fort Hays State, 1-0. WSU was picked second and Madalyn Jansen has been named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year in the 2015 NSIC Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll.
