The Peacock tennis team dropped a non-conference dual to Drake University, a NCAA Division I member, at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center in Des Moines, Iowa.  Drake swept the nine matches for a 7-0 win over the Upper Iowa improving to 13-4 overall and 11-0 at home.  UIU falls to 9-4 overall with three of the losses coming against NCAA DI opponents.
 
The Bulldogs earned the doubles point by sweeping the three doubles matches.  Kelly Jachymowski and Anna Okolot played a tight match at number 3, but fell 8-6 to Lea Kozulic and Mela Jaglarz.
 
Drake dominated the singles matches claiming all but 10 of the games during the 12 sets played. 
 
Upper Iowa will return to the court on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 28-29, to face the Vikings of Augustana College and the Cougars of the University of Sioux Falls.  Both duals will take place in Winona, Minn.
