On Sunday, the Peacock tennis team continued their undefeated run in NSIC play as they defeated the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs in Winona, Minn. Upper Iowa didn't allow the Mustangs to scratch the team scoreboard as they shutout the Mustangs, 9-0. Upper Iowa has won all 36 matches in four NSIC duals this season.
UIU asserted their dominance early on in doubles as they won all three matches 8-2 before taking care of business in singles. SMSU notched wins in only 16 of the 87 games played during the 12 sets of singles play. After having the toughest battle on Saturday, Anna Okolot defeated Mariya Krumm 6-1, 6-1 at #4 singles.Victoria Kulbokas played well again Sunday, dropping only one game to her opponent.
The Peacocks are back in action on Friday, Feb. 27, against the Huskies of St. Cloud State before taking on Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, Feb. 28. Both duals take place in St. Cloud, Minn.
