The Peacock tennis team opened the NSIC schedule in outstanding fashion defeating the Golden Eagles of Minnesota Crookston 9-0. The Peacocks came home from Winona, Minn. with their first match sweep since beating Bemidji State 9-0 on April 7, 2013.
Upper Iowa won all 15 sets played, winning 96 of the 99 games played.
At No. 1 singles,
Iris Verweij and
Saki Kawabata defeated the top pairing from Minnesota Crookston 8-3, while the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches were won 8-0 by Upper Iowa.
All six singles matches finished 6-0, 6-0 as Upper Iowa decidedly won the match.
