Recap

The Peacocks rallied from a pair of double-digit deficits to post their fourth straight win and fifth straight victory on the road. Upper Iowa forced 20 Augustana turnovers while only giving the ball up 6 times in the 84-79 win.

The Vikings jumped out to a 27-10 lead at the midway point of the first half in Saturday's contest and held their advantage at seventeen, 39-22, as the clock moved under four minutes to play before intermission. UIU erased the large deficit thanks to a 17-4 run to end the first half closing the gap to just 4 points at the break. The run was fueled by a quick eight points from Bo Pagel (3) and David Smith (5) followed by a pair of triples from Josh Weeber. The final score in the run came out of the hand of Luke Lenhart from deep beyond the arc to pull UIU within four, 43-39, at the break.

Weeber drained another three-pointer in UIU's first possession of the second half cutting the gap to just one point, 43-42, but the Vikings responded with a run to reset their double-digit lead. Augustana took a 10-point lead with eight and a half minutes to play, but a 13-3 run by Upper Iowa tied the game, 73-73, with just over three minutes on the clock. The Peacocks' second big run of the game came thanks to six points from Joey Woods, four points by Smith and another trifecta from Lenhart.

Still tied at 75-75 with 2:20 showing on the clock, Upper Iowa outscored their hosts 9-4 for the win. Woods netted 14 of his 21 points in the final eight minutes of the game including 9 of the team's final 11 points. A three-point play by Woods with 1:44 to play snapped the final tie and gave UIU their final lead.
