The Peacock men’s basketball team has recently tipped off their second season in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and 20th as a member of NCAA Division II. The men’s basketball team has been one win shy of the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen two times in the last three years, and it has claimed a Northern Sun Conference South Division title in between its appearances in the NCAA’s Round of 32.
Last season, the Peacocks finished second in the GLVC and were selected for the NCAA Tournament. Upper Iowa upset the No. 2-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College, 82-72, before falling to the No. 6-seeded Lake Superior State University, 88-80.
Funds raised through Dunk Club membership last year went toward two areas for the men’s basketball program. The first area was the team’s trip to the Small College Basketball Champion Classic in Aberdeen, S.D., where the Peacock faced #1 Northwest Missouri State University and upset #21 Northern State University on their home floor. The second area was a set of rings for the players and coaches to commemorate their trip to the NCAA Round of 32 last season.

Gear for the Team
Our athletes deserve the best; we hope to give them that. We want all players on our roster to be equipped and know they are essential to our program.
New Set of Peacock Blue Uniforms
Our Peacock Blue uniforms are due for an update to keep us looking great while representing Upper Iowa University on the hardwood.
Locker Room Upgrades
We are blessed to have a locker room in Dorman Gymnasium and continue to look for ways for our guys to make it a home away from home. Our biggest need right now is a new couch in the locker room. We want the guys to feel that they can hang out with each other, make memories as a team, and strengthen the bond between teammates.
Video/Meeting Room
Currently, we meet in our offices, which don’t fit our large roster size and aren’t great places to watch film. As other spaces on campus evolve, we’d love to be able to utilize an unused office space in Dorman as a video/meeting room during the year. Video is a huge part of our scouting and team/individual development as we progress each season.
Dunk Club Membership Benefits
For donations of $1-$49... members will receive a biweekly newsletter during the season, and bimonthly in the off-season, that gives the inside scoop on Peacock men’s basketball.
Note: Any Men’s Basketball Alumni Donors will receive a thank you letter from a current player.
For donations of $50-$249... members will receive the newsletter, a biweekly video interview during the season, and a monthly video in the off-season with Head Coach Brooks McKowen.
For donations of $250-$999 or more... members will receive the newsletter and the video interview and be invited to a monthly Zoom call with Head Coach Brooks McKowen and select players from the team.
For donations of $1,000-$2,499…. members will receive all the perks above, plus membership recognition on the videoboard during each home basketball game and exclusive Upper Iowa basketball gear.
For donations of $2,500+… members will receive all the perks above, plus VIP Suite Access at Harms-Eischeid Stadium for all home football games.
