2012-13: In his first year at UIU, Smith – a redshirt-junior – started nine games at guard, while appearing in all 32 … finished eighth on the team in scoring (3.4 ppg), seventh in field-goal percentage (48%), fifth in rebounds per game (2.3) and steals per game (0.6), fifth in free throw attempts (51), tenth in free-throw percentage (68%) and fourth on the squad with 1.3 assists per game … averaged 3.4 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.3 apg and 0.6 spg … recorded a career-high 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting and 4-of-5 free throw shooting against Minnesota Crookston (1/18/13) – his only double-digit scoring outing of the season… had a career-high four assists, seven rebounds and three blocks against Hawaii Pacific (12/19/12) … played 488 total minutes and averaged 16.8 minutes per game in NSIC play … shot 48-percent from the floor during the season (37-of-76), but missed his only three-point attempt … finished the year with 109 total points, 73 rebounds, 43 assists, 30 turnovers, 10 blocks and 20 steals …  had the third-most blocks on the team (10).

2011-12: Played in 27 games as a redshirt sophomore for the Bulldogs and started one game... scored 27 total points (1.0) with 33 rebounds (1.2) 12 assists and five steals in 235 minutes of action.

2010-11: Played in 26 games as a redshirt freshman at Drake University…scored 24 total points (0.9) with 19 assists (0.7) and 19 rebounds (0.8) in 177 minutes of action ... scored a career-high seven points against Wichita State.

2009-10: Redshirted after playing just eight games for the Drake Bulldogs.

High School: Smith was named a three-time First-Team All-Conference performer at Lake Forest Academy... averaged 13.3 points as a senior... earned a No. 30 top prospect ranking by ChicagoHoops.net... led his team to a 24-9 record in 2007-08 and won the Independent School League title with a 13-0 mark in conference play... averaged 13.0 points, 4.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 steals as a junior in 2007-08... was nominated for the 2009 McDonald's High School All-American game... four-year starter and three-time team captain... had a career-high 22 points as a sophomore vs. Luther North... Smith also competed in track where he won the high jump in the 2008 Independent School League meet.
