Upper Iowa snapped their a four-match skid on Sunday morning with a 9-0 win over the Dragons of MSU Moorhead in Winona, Minn.  The win evened the Peacocks' record at 4-4 overall and pushed them back over .500 in NSIC action at 3-2. 

UIU won all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles.  Amanda Nunez and Karli Loewecke  teamed up for an 8-4 win at #1, while Courtney Romer and Angelica Alba posted an 8-1 victory at #2.  Patricia VanderHoeven and Jennah Smith worked together in the final doubles match and claimed an 8-2 win for UIU.

The Peacocks dominated five of the six singles matches winning in straight sets.  Loewecke still won in straight sets at #2, but had to work for the win (7-5, 6-3).  The Dragons only claimed 10 games in the remaining ten sets against UIU. 

Upper Iowa will now head to Orlando, Fla. for five matches over spring break.  The Peacocks will face Grand Valley State and Presbyterian on Tuesday, Mar. 6, and Saginaw Valley State on Wednesday, Mar. 7, before taking a day off.  UIU's final two matches are on Friday, Mar. 9, against Wheaton and Wayne State (Mich.).
