The Peacock tennis team wrapped up their fall season this weekend with a pair of wins against former Iowa Conference-foes.  Upper Iowa defeated Wartburg College 7-2, and then dominated their match up with Cornell College by a 9-0 count. 
 
Against Wartburg, the Peacocks won two of the three doubles matches thanks to victories at #2 and #3.  Karli Loewecke and Courtney Romer paired up for an 8-4 win and Patricia VanderHoeven and Angelica Alba got together for an 8-4 win as well.  In singles, Upper Iowa took five of the six matches with wins at all positions except #4.  Amanda Nunez won 6-0, 6-0, while Loewecke picked up a 6-3, 6-1 decision.   Romer won her match at #3 by a pair of 6-1 sets.  Alba also won by scores of 6-1, 6-1, while VanderHoeven earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory.

In the match against the Rams of Cornell, the Peacocks swept all nine match ups to close out the fall season on a high note.  Nunez and Nicole Pothen teamed up for a 9-7 win at #1 doubles, before Loewecke/Romer  and Alba/VanderHoeven combined for 8-4 and 8-2 victories at #2 and #3 doubles, respectively.  Nunez, Loewecke, Romer, Alba, Pothen, and VanderHoeven all posted straight set wins to close their season in singles.
