• Hit .476 this week with 10 hits in 21 at bats for the Peacocks including 3 doubles for a .619 slugging percentage
• Drove in 6 runs including the winning run in game two of Saturday’s double header with SMSU in Fayette

 
The Peacocks lost a pair of near upsets at #8 Minnesota State on Wednesday; the Mavericks rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the final inning with one out to score five runs on a pair of homers and come away with a 7-4 win.  MSU won game two by the same 7-4 score, but UIU had the tying run at the plate when the game ended

SMSU took game one and four in the weekend series, but Upper Iowa won the middle two games to split the series.  SMSU dominated game one with 6 runs in the first and 6 more runs with two outs through the final six innings to post a 12-6 win.  In game two, the Peacocks rallied from a 6-3 deficit in the seventh to win7-6 with a walkoff, rbi-single in the ninth.  Cunningham pitched a gem and kept the Mustang hitters off beat as UIU won game one on Sunday 6-3.  In the final game, the Mustangs rallied from deficits of 4-1 and 7-5 to score four runs in the top of the ninth and take the win and split the series

Upper Iowa will play at Minnesota Duluth on Wednesday and then travel to Wayne State on Saturday and Sunday for their six NSIC games this week.
