INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced the all-conference selections for the 2025-26 women's golf season on Monday. Addison Weber was named to the All-GLVC Second Team, while Lizzy Ellis was the team's recipient of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
Weber becomes the first Peacock to earn All-GLVC honors since joining the conference for the 2023-24 season. The last UIU golfers to receive All-Conference honors were MacKayla Olsen and Mackenzie Olsen from the NSIC in 2021-22. MacKayla Olsen earned All-NSIC First Team, while Mackenzie Olsen earned All-NSIC Second Team.
Weber's best tournament was the William Penn Spring Shootout, when she took first, shooting 77 (+7) and leading her team to a third-place finish with a score of 341 (+61).She also shot a season-low round of 70 (-2) at this fall's Wartburg
Fall Invitational.
Ellis earned the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, given to a student-athlete who has distinguished herself through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing while also demonstrating good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. Ellis is now eligible to become one of UIU's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
The senior from Gravette, Arkansas, had her best performance during the William Penn Spring Shootout. She took sixth after shooting 86 (+16) with a birdie on hole seven. She also had a 14th-place finish at the Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate.
