FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa (5-29, 0-10 GLVC) squares off in doubleheaders with Drury (Mo.) on Friday (15-20, 5-9 GLVC) and Southwest Baptist (Mo.) (15-23, 4-10 GLVC) on Saturday. Both days will feature games at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. after Drury's game got moved from Sunday to Friday due to anticipated rain in the forecast.Â

The Peacocks dropped doubleheaders to William Jewell (Mo.) (15-21, 6-8 GLVC) and Rockhurst (Mo.) (19-16, 6-8 GLVC) on March 28-29. UIU lost to WJC, 7-0 and 7-4, respectively. The team also lost to RU, 5-2 and 10-4.Â
Reagon Proud was the team's top hitter after posting four hits with three doubles, a home run and an RBI during the weekend. The sophomore also slashed .308/.357/.769.
Mya Mendoza mustered two hits with two doubles against Rockhurst, while Cara Farnam finished with two doubles on two hits. Taylor Hamaker recorded her first career home run against William Jewell. In that same game, Addyson Alber had two hits, connecting for two doubles, an RBI and a run scored.Â
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Dani Laughlin slashes a team-best .415/.481/.447. The redshirt sophomore also leads the team with 39 hits and 14 RBIs. Proud posts a team-high nine doubles and has scored a team-high 16 runs. Farnam has the team's only triple and leads the team with two home runs.Â
Jescie Comstock has walked a team most 15 times. Kaylee Marhefke and Elliott Pomeroy are tied for the team-most two sacrifice flies, while Emma Tautges has a team-most three sacrifice hits.Â
Sara Reid has been UIU's top player on the mound, throwing 102.1 innings, giving up 44 earned runs on 116 hits and 15 walks. The Riverside native also has a 3.01 ERA, has struck out 55 batters and has pitched a shutout.Â
As a team, UIU slashes .323/.378/.475 on the season. The team also has a total of 199 hits, 41 doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 88 RBIs and 98 runs scored.Â
AROUND THE GLVC
Brooklyn Willis of UIndy (36-2, 13-1 GLVC) took home GLVC Player of the Week after leading her team to a 4-0 week. She had three home runs and three doubles, slashing .571/.667/1.429.Â
Sami Huck of McKendree (Ill.) (29-9, 10-4 GLVC) won the conference Pitcher of the Week, throwing a seven-inning shutout against Rockhurst. The Potosi, Missouri native also only gave up two hits and two walks, while striking out 14 batters.
Indianapolis holds down the first spot in the GLVC after sweeping Truman State (Mo.) (13-23, 5-7 GLVC). Lewis (Ill.) (20-12, 9-1 GLVC) follows in second, beating Quincy (Ill.) (6-30, 2-10 GLVC) twice. Missouri-St. Louis (16-16, 9-3 GLVC) takes third after sweeping Drury. Missouri-St. Louis takes on fourth-place McKendree in a doubleheader on Saturday.
Upper Iowa sits in 14th place right behind Quincy in 13th. The Peacocks are also two spots behind Lincoln (Mo.) (15-14, 4-10 GLVC) in 12th.Â
There are two GLVC teams ranked within the top 25 of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Poll. UIndy moved up from No. 8 last week to No. 7. McKendree fell three spots from No. 17 to No. 20. The Greyhounds received 300 points and the Bearcats received 82 points in the poll.Â
ABOUT THE PANTHERS - Friday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.Â
Drury fell twice to Missouri-St. Louis on April 4. The Panthers lost the first contest, 3-2, and the second contest, 4-3.Â
Emma Niemczyk has a team-best .483 slugging percentage. She's also leading the team in runs scored with 24. Reece Anderson has a team-most three home runs. Claire Nelson leads the team in RBIs with 18.
Kaley Adzick is the most experienced pitcher, throwing 91 innings. The senior has allowed 25 earned runs on 82 hits and 38 walks. She also has a 1.92 ERA, striking out 61 batters. Â

Southwest Baptist split a doubleheader with Maryville (Mo.) (17-17, 7-7 GLVC) on April 3. The Bearcats won their first game, 6-5, and lost their second game, 4-1.Â
Keeley Elsea slashes a team-best .481/.590/.774. She also leads the team in home runs with five. Emily Titus has the team's second-best slugging percentage of .674 with 10 RBIs, five doubles and three home runs. Jacie Frenken has the second-most home runs on the team with four.Â
Abby Leer leads the team with 97 innings pitched. She gave up 65 earned runs on 122 hits and 45 walks. The Hallsville, Missouri native also has a 4.69 ERA with 59 strikeouts.Â
