FAYETTE, Iowa - UIU women's golf hits the links on Monday and Tuesday in the NSIC Preview hosted by Minnesota State. The outing is held at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, Missouri.
LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks placed 11th out of 13 teams in the Firekeeper Open, scoring 997 (+133). Fern Babinski and Lizzy Ellis tied for 59th with a score of 254 (+38) each. Babinski shot one-over-par in her first three holes on day two, and Ellis led the team with four birdies.
Brynn Bonefas and Delaney Martin tied for 62nd, shooting 255 (+14) respectively. Addison Weber took 62nd, totaling 256 (+40). Bonefas recorded a season-low 78 (+6) during a round, while Weber led the team with 25 pars.
MEET INFO
The meet features five other teams: Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.), Minnesota State, Washburn (Kan.), Augustana (S.D.) and GLVC foe Rockhurst (Mo.). Washburn, Augustana and Concordia-St. Paul placed in the top 10 in last weekend's Firekeeper Open. Lanie Venendall of Augustana won individually, while Addi Wood of Concordia-St. Paul took second.
The Adams Pointe Golf Club is a par-72 course created in 1998. It plays at 6,938 yards from the furthest-back blue tees. The course has hosted the NSIC Tournament for the past three years
2025 NSIC PREVIEW
As a team, Upper Iowa took 13th, shooting 698 (+122). Martin tied for 64th, scoring 177 (+33). Bonefas and Ellis tied for 67th, shooting 178 (+34). Weber took 71st, totaling 180 (+36).
UP NEXT
UIU hosts the Upper Iowa Invitational on April 3-4 in Waterloo. The Pecocks wrap up the season at the GLVC Championships on April 17-19.
