FAYETTE, Iowa - Peacock softball (1-11) heads to Rosemont, Illinois, to compete in the Lewis Flyers Dome Invitational. Upper Iowa plays six games from Thursday to Saturday, starting with Purdue Northwest at 11 a.m. and Wisconsin-Parkside at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.Â

LAST TIME OUT
UIU dropped doubleheaders against Sioux Falls (2-4) and Southwest Minnesota State (5-3) this past weekend. The Peacocks lost to the Cougars, 4-3, in nine innings in game one and, 5-4, in eight innings in game two on Saturday. The team then lost to the Mustangs, 7-0, in game one and, 8-0, in five innings in game two.Â
Dani Laughlin led the way through all the contests with five hits, a run and an RBI. Emma Tautges had four hits, two RBIs, a run and a walk. Reagon Proud posted three hits, two walks and a run.
AROUND THE GLVC
Emma Steward of Illinois Springfield (7-3) took home GLVC Player of the Week. She went 8-for-9 (.889) from the plate with four walks and one hit by pitch for a .929 on-base percentage in her team's four wins. The freshman also drove in seven runs, while scoring six runs herself.Â
AJ Agers of Missouri S&T (8-3) won the conference Pitcher of the Week. The Desoto, Missouri native picked up her fifth win of the season after pitching a no-hitter in a 1-0 win over Thomas More (Ky.) (0-4). She also struck out seven batters and only allowed one player to get a base hit.Â
No. 15 Indianapolis received 169 votes and jumped one spot from last week at No. 16 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association. No. 24 McKendree received 28 votes and moved up one spot last week from last week as well.Â
ABOUT THE PRIDE - Thursday at 11 a.m.
Last season, Kylie Dugan slashed a team-best .413/.460/.444, while Olivia Hernandez followed her with a .397/.448/.620 line. Hernandez also connected for a team-high six home runs and nine doubles. Jordyn Roop returns as the team's most experienced pitcher, with 68.2 innings pitched. She had an ERA of 7.03, giving up 117 hits, allowing 85 runs and striking out 29 batters. Â
Claire Schapker is in her first season as interim head coach. She has been with the program for three years and helped the Pride reach the GLIAC tournament in 2024.Â
ABOUT THE RANGERS - Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Wisconsin-Parksides' top returning batter from the 2025 campaign is Mia Johnson, who slashed .348/.493/.797. Johnson also smashed a team-best 17 home runs, along with 14 doubles. Ellie Curtis is the team's most seasoned pitcher after pitching 106 innings and posting an ERA of 2.71. The senior allowed 108 hits, gave up 53 runs and struck out 67 batters. Â
Kristin Ortman is in her ninth year as the head coach. She led the Rangers to their best season to date last year with an overall record of 29-24 and a second-place finish in the GLIAC tournament.Â
ABOUT THE LAKERS - Friday at 9 a.m.
Roosevelt (Ill.) (1-1) split a doubleheader with Illinois-Springfield on Jan. 30. The Lakers fell to the Prairie Stars, 1-0, in the first contest before beating them, 2-1, in the second contest.Â
Rebecca Urbaniak is slashing .429/.429/.429, while Kennedi Robien is slashing .400/.571/.400 through the first two games. Urbaniak has a team-high three hits. Sophia Barofsky and Kendall Pearson have each posted an RBI. Riley Czarnecki has pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two hits and two runs. She has also struck out a batter.Â
Michele Alexander is in her fifth season at Roosevelt. She has an overall record of 80-91.Â
ABOUT THE GOLDEN BEARS - Friday at 1:30 p.m.
Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.) (2-2) recently competed in the Kelly Laas Memorial Tournament, where they won two games and lost two. The team beat Bemidji State (Minn.) (0-4), 5-4 in eight innings, and Southwest Minnesota State, 11-3 in six innings. CSP has lost to Southwest Minnesota State, 10-4, and St. Cloud State (Minn.) (4-0), 2-1.Â
Alexis Monty, the career leader in batting average at CSP, slashes a team-best .500/.688/.600 with a double. Catcher Danni Sharum has connected for a team-high four RBIs. Emmy Bowne has pitched a team-most 14 innings and has wins in both of her appearances. The junior has given up 20 hits, allowed seven runs and struck out seven batters.
Bob Bartel is in his 22nd year as the head coach. The experienced coach has an overall record of 593-487-1.
ABOUT THE BEAVERS - Saturday at 9 a.m.
Bemidji State was beaten in four of its contests in the Kelly Laas Memorial Tournament. The Beavers lost, 5-4, in eight innings to Concordia-St. Paul, 12-4, in five innings, 9-1, in six innings to St. Cloud State and, 7-1, to Southwest Minnesota State.Â
Alayna DeGraef is slashing a team-best .455/.500/.455. Calleigh Richards has a team-best five RBIs and has the team's only home run. The sophomore and Brianna Ness each have a double. Pitcher Danica Sarff has been on the mound for a team-most 7.2 innings, allowing nine hits and six runs. She also has six strikeouts.Â
Head Coach Jordan Petersen is in her fifth season at BSU. She has an overall record of 69-139.Â
ABOUT THE CHARGERS - Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Hillsdale (Mich.) (2-3) started its season last week in the UT-Tyler Invite, where it went 2-3 on the weekend. The Chargers had an impressive, 4-1 victory over then No. 1 UT-Tyler (9-5) and a 5-3 victory over New Mexico Highlands (2-10). The team fell, 4-2, and, 9-7, to Northeastern State (Okla.) (7-6) and 13-7 in the rematch with UT-Tyler.Â
Taylor Lewis is slashing, .467/.600/.533, Anna Chellman is slashing .438/.471/.688 and Maggie Olaveson is slashing .412/.421/.824. Olaveson also has the team's only two home runs and leads the team in RBIs with seven. Chellman has the team's most doubles with four.
Grace Harris has been on the mound for the most innings with 14.1. The South Vienna, Ohio native is allowing 11 hits, giving up 10 runs and striking out four batters.
Head Coach Kyle Gross has led the program for seven years. He has accumulated 101 wins with Hillsdale and has led his team to 31 wins or more per season since 2021.Â
