RECAPPING THE EMPORIA STATE RELAYS… The Upper Iowa track team wrapped up the Emporia State Relays last week taking 19th place, earning a total of four points over the three-day event.
Haylie Hutchinson led the Peacocks with a seventh-place finish in both the triple jump (11.30m) and the 400m hurdles (1:06.67), ranking among the top Division II female athletes in the triple jump.
Kiana Maghanoy also had a strong showing, taking ninth in the women's discus with a throw of 38.60m and 15th in the hammer throw with a 41.01m mark.
Myah Brinker placed 11th in the discus (37.44m) and 24th in the hammer (36.87m), while
Jordan Sekafetz finished 23rd in the women's long jump with a mark of 4.47m. The 4x100m relay team of Regalado, Dodds, Sekafetz, and Hutchinson placed 15th, clocking in at 51.56 seconds.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… Following the Luther Invite, the Peacocks will travel up to the St. Mary's invite in Winona, Minn. The meet is set for Saturday, April 12 at 11 a.m.
