THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK SOFTBALL… Upper Iowa returns to the Eischeid Softball Complex will they will look to improve their 4-2 record at home. The Peacocks will face Lincoln on Saturday, Apr. 5 and Missouri S&T on Sunday, Apr. 6 with games starting at 12 and 2 p.m. on both days.

HIGH-FLYING PEACOCKS… Tristin Doster has recorded a .347 batting average, where she has scored 18 runs on 34 hits. Doster ranks second in the GLVC with seven homers and eighth in the conference with 31 RBIs. She hit two home runs with eight RBIs against William Jewell and she leads the Peacocks with two triples on the season.
Serah Shafer has posted a .395 batting average while recording the eighth most runs in the GLVC at 47, which has led to a team-high 29 runs. She hit a walk-off home run over William Jewell, while also matching her career-high with three runs in the game. Shafer has added 18 stolen bases in 21 attempts which ranks fourth in the conference.
ON THE RISE… Dorothy Ziebell has recorded at least one hit in ten consecutive games, improving her batting average to .347. Ziebell has scored ten runs on 25 hits, and she hit the first home run of her collegiate career this past weekend against Southwest Baptist. She has added five doubles on the year, while ranking second on the squad with 14 RBIs.
BATTLING THE BLUE TIGERS… Lincoln has posted an 11-21 record on the season, and have struggled in conference play going 2-12. Senior Abbi Conrad has recorded team-highs with a .378 batting average with 37 hits and 18 runs. She has hit six doubles and two triples, while successfully stealing a base in 12 out of 13 attempts. Senior Mackenzie Graham has posted a .279 batting average with 24 hits and 11 runs. She has hit 12 RBIs and one home run while leading the Blue Tigers with seven doubles. On the mound, junior Mallorey Rogers has recorded a 3.00 ERA and a .273 batting average against. She has gone 3-6 on the season, while pitching three shutouts.
MELEE WITH THE MINERS… Missouri S&T has recorded an overall mark of 7-26, while going 4-10 in the GLVC. Senior Sydney Anderson leads the Miners in nearly every statistical category, as she has recorded team-highs with a .340 batting average, 32 hits, six doubles, seven home runs and 21 RBIs. She put together a 3-3 performance with two home runs and six RBIs against Newman, and has scored 17 runs on the year. Freshman Kaylee LaChappell has recorded a .271 batting average while scoring a team-high 20 runs on 23 hits. She has added a team-high three triples while going 10-11 on stolen base attempts. Senior pitcher Julia Kanoy has recorded a 4.64 ERA while allowing a .281 batting average against. She has struck out 69 batters in 74 innings, while recording two saves on the season.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… The Peacocks will travel to St. Louis for consecutive double headers. Upper Iowa will take on Maryville on Saturday, Apr. 12 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. They will follow that up by meeting with Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday, Apr. 13 at 12 and 2 p.m.
