Upper Iowa recorded a season-high 36 points at the Grinnell Invite as the Peacocks placed fifth overall in the 12-team event.
Sophomore
Haylie Hutchinson had herself a phenomenal day as she earned 26 points for UIU. Hutchinson recorded two first place finishes as she posted the best mark in the triple jump for the third time this year at 10.59m. She also finished first in the 400m with a personal record time of 1:03.79 and added a top-three finish in the 60m hurdles. Hutchinson qualified out of the 60m hurdles prelims with a time of 9.87, before crossing the line in ten-seconds flat in the finals to take third.
Freshman
Jasheana Tracey also posted a personal record in the 400m, as she accumulated five points with a fourth-place finish in 1:05.93.
Senior
Jordan Sekafetz recorded the Peacocks final five points in the 60m hurdles. She finished right behind Hutchinson in fourth place with a time of 10.30.
Junior
Myah Brinker added a ninth-place finish in the weight throw, as she posted a 13.87m throw.
Hosts, Grinnell finish first overall as they dominated the competition with 172 points. Illinois College took second place with 111 points and Monmouth (Ill.) rounded out the top three with 87 points.
The Peacocks will voyage to Decorah, Iowa for the Luther Invite on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m.
