INDIANAPOLIS - Kyle Hrncir won the Great Lakes Valley Men's Basketball Player of the Week award on Monday. This marks his third POTW award in his career and the second one of the season for him.
Hrncir averaged 23.3 points, nine rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals last week against Quincy (Ill.) (4-4, 1-2 GLVC), Lincoln (Mo.) (4-4, 1-3 GLVC) and No. 5 Missouri S&T (5-1, 2-1 GLVC). He recorded double-doubles against QU (31 points, 10 rebounds) and S&T (23 points, 11 rebounds). Hrncir also secured a gritty win over Lincoln after scoring 13 of his 16 points in the second half.
He last won the award on Nov. 24 after averaging 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in the home opener against Minnesota Crookston (1-7) and the 20-point comeback win over Purdue Northwest (3-4).
The Peacocks attempt to defend Dorman on Sunday against Clarke (3-10) at 12 p.m.
