Peacock softball has announced their commits for the 2025 season, where they have added eleven athletes to their roster.

Tristin Doster joins UIU for her senior season after spending her first two seasons with the Iowa Hawkeyes and this past season with Campbell University. During her Hawkeye career, Doster appeared in 80 games where she recorded a .291 batting average. She scored 19 runs on 59 hits while adding 11 doubles. Doster hit seven home runs which included a go-ahead grand slam against USF and 42 RBIs. Following a transfer to Campbell for her junior season, Doster posted a .311 batting average with 33 hits and 16 runs. She recorded 10 doubles and hit two home runs with 30 RBIs. In the field, Doster compiled a perfect fielding percentage with 120 putouts and 10 assists, concluding the season by being named to the All-CAA 1st Team.
Sara Reid transfers to Upper Iowa for her junior year, after spending the previous two seasons with Indian Hills CC. Reid posted a 6-1 record on the mound as a freshman, and followed that up with a 16-6 record this past season. During her 2024 campaign, she pitched 152 innings where she struck out 120 batters for an average of 5.50 per game and recorded an ERA of 2.80. Reid was named to the All-Region 1st Team and also earned Academic All-Region 1st Team honors during all four semesters.
Shannon Nelson joins the program for her junior year, after spending the previous two seasons at Miles CC. During her 2023 season, Nelson posted a phenomenal .432 batting average where she scored 27 runs on 32 hits. She recorded 17 RBIs and added one home run. During her sophomore year, Nelson hit for .328, with 39 hits and 44 runs. She finished the season with 19 RBIs, stole 21 bases and added another home run.
The Peacocks welcome junior Taylor Hamaker to the team, after she spent this past season at Drury, following a two-year stint at Waubonsee CC. After appearing in ten games as a freshman at Waubonsee, Hamaker had a breakout sophomore year in 2023 where she appeared in 49 games. During the season she posted a .341 batting average, recording 46 hits and 40 runs. Hamaker hit four home runs on the year and added 27 RBIs. She was awarded with All-Conference 2nd Team honors while also being named to the NJCAA All-Region team.
Emma Tautges transfers to UIU for her junior season, following a two-year career at Central Lakes College. Tautges appeared in 68 games at the plate, where she recorded a .455 batting average while scoring 64 runs on 102. Tautges added 17 doubles and hit 66 RBIs with seven home runs. She also appeared in 31 games on the mound where she posted a 14-11 record with two saves. Tautges struck out 118 batters for an average of 5.67 strikeouts per game and she pitched 21 complete games. She garnered a plethora of awards over her two seasons as she was named to the All-Division 1st team and All-Region first team in both seasons, while also being named the North All-Division Player of the Year as a freshman.
Reagon Proud joins the Peacocks for her freshman season, following a standout career at Lourdes Academy. Proud was awarded All-Conference 1st Team honors during all four seasons, garnered WFSCA All-District 1st Team honors in 2023 and 2024, and was named to the All-State 2nd Team in 2023, while being an honorable mention in 2024. Proud excelled at getting into scoring position following a base hit, as she set the single season school record with 29 stolen bases, and finished her career with a record-breaking 73 stolen bases. Proud added 136 hits throughout her career and nine home runs, which both rank second in school history.
Upper Iowa welcomes Faith Lemonds to the team for her freshman season. As a high school senior, Lemonds posted a .365 batting average with 23 hits and 18 runs. She recorded 21 RBIs, three doubles and a home run. Lemonds also appeared in nine games on the mound, striking out 38 batters in 28 innings, finishing her career with a 1.75 ERA. She garnered All-District honors during all four seasons and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Lemonds helped guide the Lady Wardogs to back-to-back District Championship titles in 2022 and 2023 as well as the Regional Championship title in 2023.
Gezzelle Guardado comes to UIU for her freshman season, following a four-year career as a starter on varsity. After being named an All-Region honorable mention in 2022 and 2023, Guardado was named to the All-Region 1st Team in 2024. During her senior season, Guardado posted a .382 batting average, where she scored 16 runs on 29 hits. She added 20 RBIs and hit seven doubles plus a home run.
Dorothy Ziebell joins the Peacocks for her freshman year, after a four-year varsity career as a starter. Ziebell has thrived on the mound, where she struck out 551 batters in 346 innings. She was named to the All-District 1st Team three times while also being awarded the Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. Ziebell finished her high school career with a .361 batting average and she was awarded the Team MVP award in 2024.
Ella Perkins joins Upper Iowa for her freshman year, succeeding a two-year varsity career. She recorded 11 hits and 12 runs as a junior, before following that up with 18 hits and 18 runs during her senior season. Perkins posted a .242 batting average throughout her career, and added 13 RBIs and three doubles. She concluded her high school career as a two-time Boilermaker award winner.
Aaliyah Rodriguez comes to UIU for her freshman season after a four-year varsity career as a starter. In 89 games, Rodriguez recorded a sensational .548 batting average, scoring 116 runs on 143 hits. She hit 109 RBIs, highlighted by a 38 RBI season as a sophomore and 12 home runs over her career. Rodriguez added 31 doubles which included 14 as a junior and finished her high school career with 10 triples. After being named to the All-Region 2nd Team as a freshman while also helping led her squad to a State Championship title, Rodriguez garnered All-Region First Team Awards for three straight seasons to close out her career.
