Box Score 2 The Peacocks have concluded the Spring Games with a 6-6 record as they dropped to Saint Anselm 4-0 and Trevecca Nazarene 8-0.
Game One vs. Saint Anselm Hawks
Ari Charles was walked to start the game and she proceeded to steal second, giving her seven stolen bases on the year. The Peacocks recorded two hits in the game which both came in the fourth inning.
Serah Shafer hit a single to right field to start the inning and
Laila Pelds added a single to center field.

Saint Anselm put together a four-run inning in the bottom of the fifth, as they recorded four hits in a row which included a two RBI double down the left field side.

Delaney Vetter pitched four hitless innings for Upper Iowa where she struck out two batters in the first and fourth inning and allowed five hits on the day.
Game Two vs. Trevecca Nazarene Trojans
The Trojans were able to load the bases to start the game and they quickly took a 2-0 lead. The Peacocks forced a double play where they tagged the runner out at home and they would get out of the inning by forcing a line out with a runner on third. Trevecca Nazarene built on their lead in the second, as they hit three singles, one double, and added a two-run homer.

Charles recorded UIU's first hit at the bottom of the first inning on a hard ground ball to center field.
Mikayla Brown added a single on a line drive to the pitcher in the third and a
Taylor Sedam line drive to center would give the Peacocks their final hit of the day.

UIU will open GLVC play with a double header at Truman State on Sunday, Mar. 17 at 12 and 2 p.m.
