Senior guard Jake Hilmer was recognized on the D2CCA All-America First Team after his monumental 2023-24 season on the hardwood. Following the completion of the 2023-24 season, Hilmer was named GLVC Player of the Year, D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year and was listed on the NABC All-District team. He finished his senior season averaging 24.3 points per game (3^rd in NCAA DII), 4.3 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game and 2.8 rebounds per game. 

The Walker, Iowa native broke the Upper Iowa men's basketball all-time scoring record this season, finishing his five-year tenure with 2,552 points. He cracked the all-time assists record during the GLVC Championship Tournament, and concluded his career with 623 dimes. 

The NCAA Division II scoring leader and Conference Carolinas Player of the Year KJ Jones II, senior guard from Emmanuel College, was named the 2023-24 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Ron Lenz National Player of the Year and highlights 21 players who receive All-America Distinction as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning. 

Jones, the Player of the Year from the Southeast Region, represents one of seven region players of the year to earn a spot on the All-America teams, including the remaining four members of the first team; Upper Iowa's Jake Hilmer, California (Pa.)'s KJ McClurg, West Georgia's Zawdie Jackson and Minnesota - Mankato's Willingham. In addition to leading the nation in scoring, for the second-straight year, Jones averaged 4.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game while adding 54 steals.
