THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK SOFTBALL… Upper Iowa's intended home opener against Illinois Springfield has been changed to a road game due to weather conditions. The Peacocks will play a double header against UIS at 12 and 2 p.m. and their home game against Quincy that was originally scheduled for Sunday has been moved to Tuesday, Apr. 9 at 12 and 2 p.m.

HOME RUN HEROES… The Peacocks are coming off a double header where they hit three home runs as a team.
Reagan Church recorded her third home run of the season in game two which is a team-high and she has added eight RBIs on the year.
Rae VanMilligan hit her second home run of the season in the bottom of the seventh in game one, and she has posted a season stat line of 23 hits, 12 runs, a team-high six doubles, two triples, and 16 RBIs.
Hannah Bridgewater also launched a homer over the wall for UIU's first run of the day and she has added 11 runs on the year.
Ari Charles and
Laila Pelds have each hit two homers, giving the Peacocks ten on the year. Charles has put together a phenomenal season as UIU's leadoff hitter as she leads the team with a .389 batting average, 37 hits, 21 runs and six triples. Pelds has posted a .295 batting average and she's recorded 26 hits, 11 runs, four doubles and a team-high 23 RBI's.
PRAIRIE STARS PREVIEW… Illinois Springfield has posted an 18-12 record, going 2-2 in GLVC action. The pitching duo of sophomore Rosie Bartletti (6-2) and freshman Alexis Carroll (6-3) have combined for a 12-5 record on the mound. Bartletti leads UIS with a 3.09 ERA and she has thrown 37 strikeouts. Carroll has thrown a team-high 52 strikeouts and has allowed a .292 batting average against with a 3.14 ERA. Nine players are hitting above a .300 average, which includes junior Ella Brinkley. Brinkley has recorded a .398 batting average while adding team-highs with 37 hits, 32 runs and three homers.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… The Peacocks will travel to Missouri for a pair of double headers. UIU takes on Drury on Friday, Mar. 29 at 12 and 2 p.m. and Southwest Baptist the following day at the same times.
