Box Score 2 The Peacocks began their first of six double headers at the Spring Games with a 10-1 defeat to undefeated Charleston before falling to Montana State-Billings 8-0.
Game One vs. Charleston Golden Eagles
Senior
Ari Charles hit a singled on the Peacocks opening at bat and was able to steal second before the Golden Eagles ended the inning on a pop out. Charleston took advantage of a triple at the bottom of the first to score their first run of the game and an RBI single in the bottom of the second gave them an early 2-0 lead. They were able to build on their momentum and put together a six-run inning in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by two RBI doubles.

Sophomore
Elyse Rios hit a single on a hard ground ball to center field to start the top of the fifth. With two outs, junior
Reagan Church hit an RBI double to center field, as Rios scored her third run of the season on the play.
Game Two vs. Montana State-Billings Yellowjackets
Charles once again opened game two with a single on a line drive to right field and sophomore
Serah Shafer was able to reach first on a pop fly to left field. At the top of the third, the Yellowjackets were able to score an RBI single before an error with the bases loaded would conclude a three-run inning. They added three more runs the following inning and were able to boost their lead to eight by the end of the sixth.

Shafer recorded her second hit of the game in the bottom of the sixth on a line drive to center field and senior
Laila Pelds added a single on a grounder that also reached the center fielder. With a runner in scoring position, Montana State Billings forced a pop fly for out number three to end Day One of the Spring Games.

Upper Iowa will be back tomorrow with a double header versus Goldey-Beacom College at 9:15 a.m. and Dominican University of New York at 11:15 a.m.
