GLVC STANDINGS… The Peacocks are coming off a 1-0 victory over Southwest Baptist, giving them a 3-4-3 record while going 3-3-2 in the GLVC. They are currently tied with Missouri-St. Louis for the #7-seed in the conference with six games remaining in the regular season.
FANTASTIC FORWARDS… Freshman
Mikalyn Hidde scored the game winning goal in the Peacocks post recent game against SBU, scoring on a header in the 82nd minute. She has scored two goals on the season and added an assist in the Peacocks road victory over William Jewell. Freshman
Jordan Goldstein and sophomore
Haylie Hutchinson each assisted on the play and both players lead the team with three goals on the season. Hutchinson put together a two-goal, one-assist performance against William Jewell and she has dished out three assists on the season to go along with her three goals. Goldstein leads the Peacocks with five assists and her average of .500 assists per game ranks second in the GLVC. She has also scored a goal while also recording an assist in three separate games, and Goldstein continues to lead all freshman with 11 points on the year.
DYNAMIC DEFENSE… The defensive duo of sophomore
Maile Kehano and freshman
Samantha Most have played all 90 minutes in five games this season, while leading all field players in minutes. Kehano ranks second on the team with four assists, which included a two-assist performance in the season opener against Winona State. She added a goal against Bemidji State and dished out the game-tying assist in UIU's victory over William Jewell. Most has recorded one goal and two assists on the year as she scored against Truman State, before adding an assist in the following matchup against Quincy. In the net, junior
Isabelle Wagner is coming off a five-save shoutout against SBU and she has saved 39 shots on the season.
BRAWL WITH THE BLUE TIGERS… Lincoln opened the season with a perfect 4-0 nonconference season, but have struggled in the GLVC, posting a 1-7 record while being outscored 45-5. Lincoln has played two goalies, who have each appeared in six games on the year. Junior Michelle Granja has posted a 3-3 record in the net with three shutouts and she ranks second in the GLVC with an average of 7.33 saves per game. Junior Ivanna Faria ranks tenth in the conference with five goals, highlighted by a two-goal performance in a season-opening victory over William Woods. Freshmen Angela Reynolds and Grace Larson have each scored one goal while starting all 12 games and the trio of juniors Faith Wylie and Cierra Bradley as well as freshman Leah Serritos have played all 90 minutes in every game this season.
MATCHUP WITH THE MINERS… Missouri S&T have gone 2-8-1 overall with a 2-5-1 GLVC mark. Junior Anastasia leads the GLVC with 62 saves while garnering a save percentage of 78.5%. She recorded a season-high 12 saves against Maryville and is coming off an 11-save performance against Indianapolis. Junior Greycen Erisman scored a goal and recorded an assist in a victory over Lincoln and she leads the team with three assists while starting in every game. Sophomore Jenna Marti has scored a team-high two goals while fifth year Allison Cole leads the Miners with 947 minutes, appearing in all 90 minutes of action over the past six games.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… UIU will return to Fayette for their final two home games of the season. The Peacocks face Maryville on Friday, Oct. 25 in their Breast Cancer Awareness game and Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday, Oct. 27 for Senior Day. Both games will begin at noon.
