FAYETTE, Iowa - The Upper Iowa women's soccer team has finalized its 2026 schedule. The Peacocks will start the season with scrimmages against Clarke on Aug. 16 and Wartburg on Aug. 23. UIU starts the regular season with nonconference games at home against Roosevelt (Ill.) on Aug. 27 and Southwest Minnesota State on Aug. 30. 

The Peacocks will begin GLVC play against Missouri S&T on Sept. 4. With GLVC play comes a new conference schedule format for this season, with games primarily slated for Wednesdays and Saturdays. 

"We're really excited to get this season underway," said head coach Patrick Ritter.  "Roosevelt and Southwest Minnesota State are good opponents we are familiar with, as we also faced them last year in nonconference play to prepare for GLVC action. The conference schedule has changed this year to a Wednesday-Saturday game format, and we need to quickly find our groove with 17 new players on the roster. Our first three conference games are all against last year's tournament teams, including both the regular-season co-champions. We will be one of the youngest teams in the region, but we hope our quality will shine through."
