The No. 15 Peacock wrestling team rallied from an eight-point deficit late in their final regular season dual for an 18-17 win over the No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Upper Iowa won by decision at 133, 141 and 157 to build a slim 9-8 lead, but bonus-point wins at 165 and 174 for the Rangers put the road team in a big hole. UIU scored three wins at 184, 197 and 285 to win on the road and secure their third straight victory in the NSIC. Upper Iowa closed the regular season with a 6-5 mark overall and a 3-3 record in the NSIC, while Parkside was 5-4 overall and 5-3 in the conference.
After Joe Arroyo (No. 3) scored a 16-1 tech fall (5:16) win for the home team at 125 pounds, the Peacocks answered with a pair of wins at 133 and 141 pounds to take a 6-5 lead.
Kaden Anderlik (No. 5) posted a pair of takedowns in the first period of the 133-pound bout and added a pair of escapes on the way to a 7-3 decision, while

Connor Manderfeld to put the Rangers ahead 8-6.
Chase Luensman (No. 7) kept the back-and-forth dual going with a win for Upper Iowa at 157 pounds. Luensman recorded an escape and a takedown in the second period and then changed the order in the third period with a takedown and an escape to secure his 6-4 win over Ben Durocher.
After Shane Gantz (165, No. 3) and Job Ayala (174, No. 6) registered a 22-7 tech fall (7:00) and a 13-3 major decision, respectively, the Rangers were just one win away from grabbing a dual victory over the Peacocks. The two bonus-point wins put them ahead 17-9 with three bouts to go.
Myron Crawfod gave the Peacocks hope for a rally with a 3-2 decision at 184 pounds over Reece Woracheck. Crawford scored the only takedown of the match and held on for the slim victory thanks to an escape in the third period.
Bodie Garnier then brought the Peacocks to the doorstep of the come-from-behind win, with an upset victory over Rodsean Graham (197, No. 9). Garnier took a 3-3 tie into the final period after a takedown and late escape in the first and no points for either wrestler in the second period. In the third frame, Garnier escaped and held on for the 4-3 decision that pulled Upper Iowa within two points, 17-15.
Jordan Baumler entered the circle and controlled the heavyweight match over Nate Lloyd to come away with an 8-2 win fueled by three takedowns, an escape and a ride time point. The win capped the Peacock rally and gave the visitors the 18-17 win.
