INDIANAPOLIS - Peacock men's wrestling earned six All-GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference) selections as announced by the conference on Thursday. Ethen Doty (149) and Griffin Luke (174) earned First Team selections. Nick Mueller (165) earned a Second Team selection while Treyton Ackman (125), Tanner Arjes (141) and Preston Klostermann (157) earned Third Team honors.
Doty earns his second All-GLVC selection in his career after earning second-team honors last season. Ackman earned his second All-GLVC selection as well after being on the third team in 2024.
Luke, Mueller, Arjes and Klostermann each earned their first career All-GLVC selections. Doty and Luke become the fourth and fifth All-GLVC First Team selections since joining the conference in 2023-24.
Doty was also UIU's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree. He becomes a back-to-back honoree after winning the award last season as well.
McKendree's (Ill.) Sam Richardson (165) was named the GLVC Wrestler of the Year. The redshirt freshman went 27-5 this season with an 8-1 GLVC record. UIndy's Ethan Farnell (197) was named the Freshman of the Year, and McKendree's James Kisgen was named Coach of the Year. Drury (Mo.) won the James R. Splding Sportsmanship Team Award.
The Peacocks are gearing up for action this weekend at the NCAA Super Region V Championships hosted by Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minnesota. Sessions I and II start at 10 a.m., while Session III placement matches begin at 5 p.m.
