Hilmer and Evenson Named Yoga Genesis Peacocks of the Week

This week's Yoga Genesis Peacocks of the Week are Jake Hilmer of the men's basketball team and Brooke Evenson of the women's basketball team.
 
Hilmer scored 21 points to lead all scorers in Upper Iowa's 73-68 loss at Winona State on Sunday. The loss was just UIU's second of the season. The Walker, Iowa product made nine field goals in the game and added a pair of assists and rebounds. Hilmer's 21 points mark the third time the junior guard has been above 20 points and 12th time in double figures.
 
Evenson scored 12 points and added four blocks, four rebounds and a steal to lead Upper Iowa's near upset of Winona State on the road. The 12 points mark the eighth time that the junior from Baldwin, Wis. has hit double figures in scoring, while the four blocks are a new career-high for her. UIU lost the upset-bid 61-55 on Sunday.

In addition to Evenson's output at Winona State, Jessica Musgrave scored a team-high 14 points in the loss, while Lydia Haack (10) and Katie Tornstrom (10) both scored in double figures with four field goals each.
 
After Hilmer's 21 points, Joe Smoldt and Nick Reid each added 11 points. Lucas Duax scored eight points and dished out three assists but was limited to 16 minutes due to foul trouble.
