The Peacock softball teams' time at the Emporia State Classic came to an early end on Saturday when their pair of games against the University of Central Missouri and Emporia State University were cancelled due to early morning rains and the forecast for more rains off and on all day. Upper Iowa closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule with an 8-7 mark.

The team will now gear up for Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action. The Peacocks were scheduled to play at Winona State University for the conference opener on Tues., Mar. 26, but that doubleheader has been moved to Fayette due to field conditions in Winona, Minn. The games are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday afternoon with the possibility of moving to Wednesday pending weather.
