The Peacock wresting team continued their early tournament work at the Auggie-Adidas Invite hosted by Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minn. Upper Iowa posted 65 wins on the day and topped all other teams on the winning percentage charts for the day. UIU won 69.9% of their matches, which marks their highest percentage of the season.
 
The tournament was split into two separate sets of brackets with the true freshman taking up the Silver bracket and all other classes combining in the Gold brackets. In total, 17 Peacocks placed in their respective brackets.
 
Upper Iowa won five brackets of the twenty on the line with one coming on the Gold side and four on the Silver side of action. Nick Baumler claimed the 197 Gold title, while Kaden Anderlik (unattached), Dalton Schams (unattached), Eric Faught (unattached) and Chase Luensman (unattached) dominated their runs at 133, 141, 149 and 157 in the Silver brackets to claim 4-0 days.
 
Baumler went 4-0 with a pair of majors in the first round and quarterfinals. After earning a 9-3 decision in the seminfinal, the senior from West Union won by fall (2:14) in the finals over Jackson Ryan of Southwest Minnesota State University. Luensman earned bonus-points in all four wins with a pair of majors, a tech fall and a fall, while Anderlik scored a fall and two majors and Schams and Faught each scored a pair of falls. With his perfect day, Faught pushed his record (unattached) to 16-0 on the year.
 
Jared Hensley (125) and Justin Folley (133) both placed as runner-ups in their gold brackets. Hensley opened his day with a 16-0 tech fall over Cameron Williams of Minnesota State University Moorhead and then added a pair of decisions to reach the finals before he was withdrawn from action prior to the finals. Folley dominated his first three matches with a fall (3:30) and a pair of majors (8-0 and 14-5) to earn his shot at Victor Gliva of Augsburg. Folley lost the final bout 8-3 to place second.
 
Connor Manderfeld (141) and Triston Westerlund (285) each placed third in the gold brackets with a 3-1 record. Manderfeld scored three wins by decision including a 7-6 victory over Justin Sampson of Southwest Minnesota State in the third place match. Westerlund scored a win by fall (7:18) in the quarterfinal and won by medical forfeit in the third place match.
 
Four Peacocks placed fourth in their respective weight classes. Philip Ihde (125) went 2-1 on the day to place fourth and recorded one win by major. Donny Schmit (133) posted a 2-2 mark with a win by fall and added a major over Brock Buysse of SMSU by an 11-2 count. Bodie Garnier (197) also placed in the bracket won by Baumler. Garnier went 2-2 with a win by fall in his first match. Colter Bye (174, unattached) went 2-0 before withdrawing, but his wins did include a win by fall (6:16).
 
Mac Spotts (157), Dalton Nelson (174), Dalton Hahn (184) all placed fifth in their weight classes, while Jake Niichel (149) placed sixth in the tournament. Nelson posted three wins by fall in a time of 4:51 to rank second at the tournament in that category, while Hahn recorded the fifth fastest fall of the tournament at 35 seconds.
 
Ryan Steffen (unattached) and Jordan Baumler did not place, but did post 3-1 records on the day.
