Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 On the second and what will be final day of the 8-State Classic in Bentonville, Ark., the Peacocks dropped a pair of games to Southwest Baptist and Henderson State.

In the first game, Upper Iowa fell in extra innings to the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist, 2-1. The lone run for the Peacocks came from a home run in the first inning off the bat of Jacqueline Flood. Brooke Redmond pitched all eight innings and took the tough luck loss.  

As for game two, the Peacocks lost Henderson State 8-0 in five innings. Taylor Bjork took the loss in her first collegiate start.

Sunday's scheduled games against Ilinois Springfield and William Jewell were cancelled due to expected inclement weather. The Peacocks, however, are scheduled to face the Prarie Stars of Illinois Springfield at the D-II Midwest Region Dome Invitational next weekend and have a doubleheader scheduled against William Jewell in Liberty, Mo., on Mar. 8. Full stats for the games against Southwest Baptist and Henderson State will be available following the weekend.

The Peacocks return to the diamond next weekend at the D-II Midwest Region Dome Invitational in Rosemont, Ill. UIU is scheduled for games against Missouri-St. Louis, Missouri S&T, Illinois Springfield, Grand Valley State and, the host, Lewis.
